HELLO, I’M
Lisa Chen
Culinary storyteller, flavor enthusiast, and the passionate chef behind every recipe at DishyHaven

My Culinary Journey
Food has been my love language for as long as I can remember. Growing up in my grandmother’s kitchen in San Francisco, I learned that cooking isn’t just about nourishment—it’s about creating memories, bringing people together, and expressing creativity through every dish.
After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America and working in renowned restaurants across California, I discovered my true passion: making restaurant-quality recipes accessible to home cooks everywhere.
DishyHaven was born from this mission—to share recipes that inspire confidence, creativity, and most importantly, joy in the kitchen.

Every Dish Tells a Story
Fresh & Seasonal
I believe in celebrating ingredients at their peak, creating recipes that honor the natural flavors of each season.
Simply Accessible

Every recipe is crafted to maximize taste, combining traditional techniques with modern innovation for unforgettable flavors.

Beyond the Kitchen
When I’m not experimenting with new recipes, you’ll find me exploring local farmers’ markets, tending to my herb garden, or planning my next culinary adventure. I’m passionate about sustainable cooking practices and love discovering unique ingredients from around the world.
I live in beautiful Sonoma County with my partner Alex and our rescue dog Basil (yes, named after the herb!). On weekends, we love hosting dinner parties where I can test new recipes on our friends and family.
