Description

These Chocolate Strawberry Yogurt Clusters are a quick, healthy, and delicious frozen snack featuring creamy Greek yogurt, juicy strawberries, and a crisp dark chocolate shell. Perfect for meal prep, parties, or a guilt-free treat, they’re easy to customize and loved by kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (150g) fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • 1 cup (240g) Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla, full-fat or low-fat; or non-dairy alternative)
  • 12 tablespoons (15–30ml) honey or maple syrup (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) pure vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup (130g) dark chocolate chips or chunks (at least 60% cacao; or milk chocolate if preferred)
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) coconut oil (optional, for melting chocolate)
  • Pinch of sea salt (optional, for topping)
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flaxseeds
  • Optional: Mini chocolate chips
  • Optional: Granola or chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Wash, hull, and dice the strawberries into small 1/4-inch pieces.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Fold in the chopped strawberries and any optional add-ins like chia seeds or granola.
  4. Drop heaping tablespoonfuls of the yogurt-strawberry mixture onto the lined baking sheet, spacing them apart. You should get about 10–12 clusters.
  5. Freeze the clusters for 1–2 hours, or until firm and fully frozen.
  6. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips with coconut oil (if using) in 20-second bursts, stirring after each, until smooth. Alternatively, melt using a double boiler.
  7. Remove the frozen clusters from the freezer. Dip each cluster into the melted chocolate to coat, or drizzle chocolate over the tops.
  8. Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of the chocolate before it sets, if desired.
  9. Return the chocolate-covered clusters to the freezer for another 10–15 minutes, until the chocolate hardens.
  10. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 month.

Notes

For best results, pat strawberries dry before mixing to prevent runny clusters. Work quickly when dipping in chocolate, as the yogurt melts fast. Customize with different berries, nuts, or granola. For vegan clusters, use non-dairy yogurt, dairy-free chocolate, and maple syrup. Store clusters in a single layer or with parchment between layers to prevent sticking.
